Community Representatives elected

Two community representatives were elected to the Drogheda Implementation Board at an online meeting held on Tuesday 15th February 2022. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Justice Helen McEntee TD, members of the Department of Justice team and Board representatives. The Minister reiterated her Department’s support for the delivery of the Plan and the importance of prioritising initiatives that respond to issues identified in the Scoping Report into Community Safety and Wellbeing in Drogheda. 

There was strong community sector engagement at the meeting with 14 community groups represented. Five nominees had been put forward and the election was held live at the event with Valerie Artherton and Louise Mahony the successful candidates.
